A Year Of Impact: Lifting Up Families Navigating The Sudden & Tragic Loss Of A Child

As 2024 comes to a close, the Hood County Stampede is humbled and honored to share that, thanks to the incredible support of our community, dedicated volunteers, and hardworking board of directors, we were able to present our 2024 beneficiary, The Beau Bear Foundation (BBF), with a total donation of $22,500. We presented the BBF with a $10,000 check during our charity rodeo in May. Then, following the Diamonds & Denim Fundraising Gala we hosted in October, our board of directors did a special visit with the BBF team in November to present them with another $12,500.

These funds will directly support families faced with grieving the sudden and tragic loss of a child, helping them navigate one of life’s most heartbreaking challenges.

This remarkable achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the success of our community and private fundraising events. From the energy and excitement of our charity rodeo to the western-chic Diamonds & Denim Gala, and the many private donations made throughout the year, we are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who contributed. It is truly a blessing to see how our small grassroots nonprofit, the Hood County Stampede, continues to grow, enabling us to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those in need right here in our local community and beyond.

As we celebrate this milestone, we’re also looking ahead with great anticipation for the year to come. We are fervently reviewing beneficiary applications, closing out the final details from this year, and already beginning to plan exciting events and initiatives for 2025.

To everyone who attended our events, volunteered their time, or contributed in any way, thank you for being part of this journey. Together, we are building something truly special—an organization that not only supports local children and families in need but also allows us to share and preserve cowboy culture and our rodeo background to bring our community closer together.

While you stay tuned as we prepare for an even brighter and more impactful 2025 be sure to:

Here’s to another incredible year ahead!
