Meet The Hood County Stampede Team: Dustin Adams

Get to know the hardworking team behind the scenes at the Hood County Stampede! Our next highlight in our Meet The Team series, introducing Dustin Adams.

Vice President, Dustin Adams

We’re pleased to introduce you to Dustin, who joined the team as a board member in 2023 and has been a valuable asset to our organization.

A Texas native, Dustin grew up in Amarillo, but has lived all over; Abilene, Austin, Dallas, and settled in Granbury in 2019. Dustin fell in love with the community on weekend trips to visit family and play golf, and is now happy to call DeCordova home.

Doing Good With Good People

To know Dustin is to love him! He’s just a good hearted, hardworking member of the community who does what he can to make an impact and do the most good with good people.

Knowing he wanted to get more involved in the community, Dustin’s wife introduced him to Wes and Francie, they made a quick connection and the rest is history. Dustin’s optimistic and uplifting can-do attitude was exactly the personality Wes and Francie were looking for in a volunteer to join this grassroots nonprofit board of directors.

From coordinating vendors for the rodeo, dropping off event posters, to setting up panels in the Texas heat and helping the team do manual labor laying replacement boards on the VIP seating section above the bucking chutes at Reunion Grounds. From day one Dustin has always been happily willing to do what needs to get done for the good of the whole. An invaluable trait that’s not so easily taught.

It’s no surprise that a favorite Bible verse of Dustin’s is...

“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and truth.” - 1 John 3:18.

And a credo he likes to remind himself of is...

“Don't present a problem without a solution.”

Here For a Good Time

Dustin daylights as a senior project manager for a local commercial landscape & irrigation company and is enjoying life as a newly wed with his wife Amber who he jokingly refers to as the mayor of Granbury, because as he puts it “She knows EVERYBODY!”

Both Dustin and Amber are passionate about nurturing and supporting the kids in the local community. Therefore, it was a no-brainer for Dustin to join the board, and Amber is always a welcome addition as a frequent volunteer for our events. It also helps that a good time follows them wherever they go, and "have fun" is a requirement when you're participating or involved with the Hood County Stampede.

We are honored to have Dustin on our board for a second year now and it’s our pleasure to introduce him to our followers and readers. We hope you have the opportunity to meet Dustin and well, you probably already know his wife!
